NURTURING BODY &SOUL
Dr.
Robert
Carpenter, a spry 83-year-old retired doctor, served with a
short-term missionary team in Moldova. He took the Mobile
Clinic to Orhei and surrounding villages. At times, 20 to 30
people waited in long lines. After receiving medical
treatment, team counselors shared the gospel with the
"patients."

- RECOVERY
MINISTRY
Vladimir,
one of the 10 graduates from the 2007 Central Moldova class,
is actively involved in a recovery ministry among
drug-addicted people in Rezina. This city has one of
the highest percentages of drug users and addicts in
Moldova. Vladimir's ministry works with students in schools,
raising the awareness of drugs, alcohol, smoking, abortion
and sex. His goal is to see believing youth in Rezina and
its neighboring village united by the love of Christ.

OUTREACH
After her
January vision trip in 2007, Stephanie developed a love for
the disabled children of Saransk, Russia. her trip has
opened doors to an orphanage ministry in Saransk, the
capitol of Mordovia.

SHARING HOPE
International Interns raised money to treat 2-uear-old
Matthew Petrov, son of LDI graduate, Ion Petrov, in Saransk,
Russia, who suffered from leukemia. Despite numerous
treatments and nutritional supplements, little Matthew
passed away on January 13, 2007. His last words were, "I go
home."
